I have this phone and find that if I let the internal memory drop much below about 17MB I start to have problems.

Any apps you download are processed in the phone memory first and then you can move them to SD, the phone won't have it if the memory is too low.

I use "App2SD" to move them but as you may have found out, not all apps can be moved, so I try to only use those that can.

I don't like App Killer type apps and find them unnecessary.

More on managing the phone memory here:

http://www.htc.com/help/www/howto_iframe.aspx?id=52861&type=1&p_id=392

Get rid of app killer to start with then go into applications and clear cache for all you apps.
