I have a O2 sim only deal which I signed up to in July, my phone is a Samsung S20FE (yes, I know it's an old phone by today's standards)

My 4G coverage is terrible! I've been in situations when I've desperately needed it to work and had to drive around in a panic looking for a signal.

My partner thinks it's because I have an older phone but when I was with EE, I didn't have any issues and I don't see why it would make a difference.

I've checked the network coverage in my area and it's fine, plus it's not just in my area that it doesn't work. I've followed the How To Guides and looked and those who have asked similar questions but nothing has fixed it.

Is my partner right? Am I missing something?

Try this @LJP84 :-

My Network App - Find Out More About Your Network Coverage | Apps | O2

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Understand your network coverage

With the My Network app you can keep an eye on your coverage, wherever you are. Download the app and you’ll be able to:

check the status of our network in your area – you don’t even need to enter your postcode

test your network speeds

report any issues with your service.

It’s simple to use and means that you can check the network without having to visit the main site or even enter a postcode.
