stored numbers - callers are all unknown

My wife's mobile does not show who is calling here, even though she has numerous numbers/contacts stored.

Any ideas?

There seems to be an issue with some people.

Thanks for the first response. I'll contact O2 to get them to sort it, sadly, I'm not Bournemouth like to bod in the link you posted.

I haven't been into the local O2 shop, but what I did was to swap sims between our phones, and hoped my phone would get an unknown call, but no. We are still seeing unknown on my wife's phone even with my sim in it.

Could it be the phone?

Sorted!!

I enabled airplane mode, then disabled it, the disabled the sim, then reenabled it and now she can see who is calling her.

Apparently the phone switched itself to airplane mode and we switched it back and that is when it started, but why did it randomly switch to airplane mode? No idea!

And this morning, it happened again, a caller who is in her list of contacts came up as unknown.

So I disabled the sim and re-enabled it, lets see what happens tomorrow.

Is it the phone or the sim card? The phone is quite new, less than a year.

Sadly I spoke too soon.

Same thing this morning even after restarting the phone as well as disabling/enabling the SIM.

Me thinks we are having a trip into the Toon to the nearest O2 shop.

I am confused.

We have had no issues since I last disabled/enabled which was over a week ago.

Has the sim/phone sorted itself out? I wonder. It seems that it only happens when my wife powers the phone off or it goes flat.
