Pixel Pro 7 4g/5g calling problem

i have a problem with Google Pixel7 Pro,

5G/4G drops when i make a call, automatically switches me to 3G-H mode, after call phone comes back to 4G or 5G, sometimes even stepping up, and after call switch from H to H+/4g/4g+ or 5G.

Restart or airplane mode on/off helps for some time 4G and %g calling working fine....

That happens on any area, phone has last December update TQ1A.221205.012, and new o2 sim, i have been trying to keep the phone on 4g, switching 2g off, and even resetting the phone.

My wife's phone Pixel 7 does the same.

As I said, Airplane Mode on/off, but this is a temporary fix for a few hours.

2G off and 5G off same story, after a couple of hours signal in calls drops to H mode.

it's not only my phone, my wife's P7 also has this problem, today I'm been in o2 store, and one of the sellers had P7P, also 4g calling not working on his phone

I think Its a pixel 7 software problem or o2 setup error for that phone.

My advice would be to pursue the Google Service Centre route first, @zukosok - using the link shared previously. There were similar issues in the early days of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro also. Good luck!

@zukosok make sure you have 4G calling enabled on your phone, and please note that you cannot make a call over 5G, 5G is data only, so if you have 5G and make a call the phone will always drop to the best available next signal (usually 4G).

That's the first decent explanation I have seen. Interesting about the 5G data only bit, thanks @PhoneChanger!
