I have a Sony Experia 5 III. It has a lock screen that is black and just shows the time. When I tap to unlock, then I get my "proper" lock screen with my screensaver and any messages. I don't want this pre lock screen as it's useless and takes longer to get in my phone. How can I get rid of it?

Sounds like it is the always on display @Clare110

You would need to find the setting to turn that off (something like Settings --> Display -->Always on display) and then the screen would be "off" until you tap it.

Bit late, sorry.

It's called ambient display.

Go to settings and search ambient display and you can turn it off
