USB repeatedly connected/disconnected

My Galaxy A51 is repeatedly showing notifications -

Android System USB connector connected

Android System USB connector disconnected

When I go to the USB settings showing USB controlled by the screen keeps jumping between the options of "Connected device" and "This phone".

I have allowed the battery to drain and put phone in a bag with rice in it incase there was moisture but that hasn't worked.

Any ideas?

Could be a dirty charge port.

Try carefully cleaning / removing any debris.
