Samsung S8+ not working abroad

Hi, I have a Samsung S8+ with Andriod Pie, I have all the settings as far as I am aware right, as per instructions on the O2 website, and I have the time showing on my phone as local and home and an R above the bars, also have the data roaming on. But can't get the internet working or any apps 😞

Please does anyone have any ideas (oh and I'm in Portugal) Thank you

You could try a manual search for another network.

If that doen't work you need to call customer services and check as to whether there is a roaming bar on your account. https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

(though if text and calls are working that shouldn't be an issue.)

You could also text Active to 2020, save the settings which come back, then reboot the phone.

Also try taking your sim out and gently cleaning it, reinsert and reboot the phon..
