Technically, you should just be able to flash the last Oreo ROM for that customisation, but I'm trying to find out if pie had rollback protection built in.
Let me find out and I'll get back to you.

I have an Xperia XZ1 compact which is running Android 9 . Everything is working fine except my Company apps (email , calender, documents etc) It turns out our MDM system which provides the security on our phones is not yet compatible with Android 9 !

Can I easily retrograde back to 8 ?

Stufff I ghave found so far seems to suggest you can only do this is you "Root" the phone.

Surely not ?
