Unfortunately there was a slight hold-up on Samsung's end but we're happy to see this is now out in the hands of our customers. Please go give it a go and let us know what you think.

Going from Nougat to Oreo you'll probably notice some changes - visual and functional. Let us know what you like most

Does it take awhile for it to rollout to everyone? Checked my S7 and nothing yet

Also i know its recommended to do a factory reset, but cant really be bothered with the hassle of redownloading apps and setting them all up again. Is it OK to just install over Nouget?

Cheers guys.

Personally im not that bothered about Oreo. Im more than happy with Nouget. Although from experience once the phone has found an update it constantly nags you to install it. I dont think there is a way to stop the push notification coming through saying "update found" is there?

Well despite having turned off updates in developer options, my phone decided to update to Oreo last night (whats the point of that option then?). Anyway accepted the update and so far so good. Seems alot quicker to do stuff, and not needed to factory reset. Only issue ive noticed is now the phone doesnt beep once when you put it on charge (option is enabled), but i can live with that

You can force stop Software Update in App Settings to get rid of the notification. It will return if you restart the phone. You'll get a warning of consequences when you force stop it but there aren't any. Also you need to include system apps to see Software Update on the list in order to do this.
