I tried a few before settling on Mightytext which is excellent. I also use mysms for my other android, again excellent. Both in Google play. Both allow you to view, back up and restore and send from laptop.

@AnonymousHave you got an android phone? If so it can be done by installing an app

Mightytext seems the best one but if you look at this link there are a few others

https://www.greenbot.com/article/2102552/android/4-android-apps-that-put-sms-on-your-desktop.html

I have googled for any apps that can do this with an iPhone and just found one. It's called AnyTrans

https://www.imobie.com/support/view-iphone-messages-on-computer.htm

Hope this helps...

Do you actually want to see the content of texts or just look and see what numbers you have sent texts to?
If the latter you can view them in your MyO2.
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Pay-and-Go/How-do-I-get-to-the-Download-Bill-page/ba-p/1014096 And
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/O2-Apps/My-O2-Bills-section-Mini-Guide/ba-p/1017608
