Dropped my phone down the loo this morning out of my dressing gown pocket. Quickly retreived it but water has obviously got into it. Cannot get to an )2 shop until after work. Anyone got any tips/help/advice of anything I can do to help!! It has got a lot of photos on that I am now scared I'll not get back.

It is a Samsung A3 so I can't get into it although I have removed my SIM and memory card so they don't get affected. Don't even know if that was right thing to do. Have only had phone since just before christmas so I'm still getting used to it!!!

Hi @Anonymous

Some advice here (from androidpit) on how to dry out a phone/device dropped in water https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-fix-smartphone-dropped-in-water

Have you got insurance on the phone? If so you need to ring them immediately. It may need to go for repair so either ring O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

ring Samsung direct http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/contactus.html

0330 SAMSUNG (726 7864)

The old trick of putting the phone in a bag of rice and then the whole lot into an airing cupboard or on a radiator is your only hope.
You may be lucky or you may not, it's in the hands of the Gods....
Also, if lucky again, you'll have all your photos etc backed up to Google?
