Contact LG for a repair under warranty.
You will be covered as long as the damage is not of your own doing.
Contact details at the bottom of this link http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mobile-support

You wouldn't be entitled to a new phone. You need to give them the opportunity to repair the one you have. It will still be under warranty, so you should probably go direct to LG customer support, rather than O2.

After eight month's use you don't have the right to a replacement unless they can't repair it, which you have to give them the opportunity to do.

It doesn't matter where you bought it. You will not be given a new phone after using it for eight months. Send it directly to LG. That's your best chance of getting it repaired correctly.

Go ask for a replacement, good luck with that.

Our advice is to contact the manufacturer.
