Galaxy S6 - cannot forget O2 free wireless networks

Hi there

Very irritating, I can't tell my S6 to forget O2 free wireless connections.
Normally you long press on a connection and have the option to forget it, but not O2 WiFi. I tried deleting my phones profile in the O2 wireless app, but all that does is constantly redirect me to a registration page.
I don't want my phone constantly trying to join useless O2 WiFi hotspots a I'm walking around London. I have a 20gb contact and it's just irritating, causing unloaded pages and breaks in streaming media.

Please somebody tel me how to remove it! And don't say "just turn off wireless" because I need to connect to others.

I have seen a number of these so in my opinion this is could potentially be a common issue with Samsung devices running 5.X.

I'll send you a PM so I can try and get this addressed for you.

Wifi extra?
The new thing that joins O2 free WiFi automatically using your sim id as authentification.
My bet anyway.

I completely agree with you.

But again - I am here as a customer only, I have the added benefit of being able to relay information back to my role, I do not have the authority to relay it back - that is what the O2 community team is here for.

I can only reitterate, I have seen this issue previously, making it a common issue in my eyes.

I am not aware of a fix at present.

Well yes, but just in case innit,

Also, has the O2 wifi app been removed? This could be preventing the manual forget option if those connections are managed via the app and not the android system

Turning off wifi is the fix.
Wifi extra will connect to O2 wifi zones automatically on selected handsets, without any need for authentification.

Yes but the op stated he doesn't want to do that as he wants to connect to his preferred hot spots. ....
