Can anyone offer any help?

My phone updated this evening (Never done anything to this phone apart from use it. No rooting etc) and after "completing" the update, it now will not boot up.

It powers up and attempts to start before showing a phone with a red traingle and exclaimation mark.

I can get into the bootloader menu, but nothing appears to work. Trying to go into the recovery mode results in the phone restarting and showing the HTC Screen. I've tried to reset it back to factory default ... That shows the update screen, but sits there for a while and then the phone reboots again.

No option seems to do anything at all, apart from the power down option.

Which I've gotten frustrated enough to use.

Is there any fixing this?

First of all, it is impossible to brick a HTC that does not have S-Off.

You need to become familar with the ADB Console to fix it though. You'll also need the CID number and the firmware to match the CID number.

S-Off? The string at the top of the boot loader says "M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON".

I guess I will have to google those. Thanks

Don't worry, I can guide you through it.

First of all, google ADB and download the console. Follow the instructions to set it up.

Connect your phone in fastboot mode. Next, google htc one m7 recovery img. Find the correct one for your firmware and download that. It should be a img file.

Once you have the file, open a command prompt within the adb folder that holds fastboot. (Hold shift and right click and select open command prompt here).

Then type the following fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Replace recovery.img with whatever the recovery file is called.

That should fix your problem. If it doesn't, there is a longer, more extensive route to fixing it. Let me know if you need help. I've done it a million times
