Hi
Hope someone can help me with this. I've got a HTC one that i bought earlier this year on a new refresh account. I'm due to go abroad end of August and want to use it abroad. I've now filled in the online unlock request form twice and have not received a code to unlock the phone. I first requested this in May and then again in June and have not heard anything since.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I can get this sorted as I don't really fancy paying the high roaming charges whilst abroad.
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated

Hi

Ring 202 to speak to Cs.

As your using the phone its imei should be latched to your account OK.

You also need to make sure all the security questions are answered precisely.

Well I did suggest the UK Cs number but if online Live Chat have helped , its all good.

They are both Cs departments after all.

I tried CS but couldn't get through so tried web chat which was quicker

Fingers crossed for you.

Make sure you have an alternative Uk sim card at hand to complete the unlock.

Not a virtual network sim card as these for some reason don't always like to play nice.

I've got an old 3 p&g sim lying around its still active will use that. Will update after 7 days hopefully

Try another sim in it anyway - It might just be unlocked already....
Have you not had any emails at all?

I did try that but it's locked usually they've been unlocked but no emails yet

It's strange that no emails have been received as usually you would at least get a refusal email if application was not successful.
Have you checked any spam folders?

I have the same problem with my samsung note2. I have been given a code that did noy work and despite having call 202 and reasssured on more than 3 occasions (last 2 occasions - was promised that this would be escalated!!) that I would receive a email. I'm still waiting!!!, Yes I have checked my junk folder.

I've not received any emails at all checked spam too.
The guy on web chat said that on the system it says "not completed" and will make sure that it's done within 7 days and apologised for the delay

Then as it's not completed it's more likely it's not going to accept another networks SIM card. 😞
