Hey,

I have a quick qeury for anyone that may know this. I've tried to check on the help and forums and at a glance couldn't find much.

I have a Galaxy S3 Mini and when my friends or I ring each other and speak for 2 hours; our calls are always dropped at the 2 hour mark, give or take a second. From what I gather this is to protect people from burning minutes when accidentally calling?

However I have recieved a phone bill this month with a 6 hour call for £92.00, o2 to o2.

My question is; why did this not get cut off at the 2 hour mark (the call was accidentally not hung up), yet from my experience my calls are always cut off at the 2 hour mark?

Is there any obligation for my call to be dropped when it exceeds certain call lengths?

Regards,

Nicol

Hi and Welcome to the Community Forum,

Im not aware of any such service that cuts off a conversation.

Weve actually had posts of people who have said their own conversation did not cut of properly when they thought they had ended the call, resulting in a high bill.

Hi and welcome to the Community.

I have to say this is news to me too. I know some landline companies have limits, typically 60 or 90 minutes but not aware of any mobile restrictions like this.

£92 for a call is a huge sum. It might be worth a pleading call to CS on 202 (contract) or 4445 (payg) to see if they could offer a goodwill gesture towards it but there are no guarantees.

Please do come back and let us know how you get on.

Ouch!
Have you considered changing to an unlimited calls tariff?
