Text messaging - unfortunately OMACP has stopped

Does anyone have an idea what this is. I can see when a text arrives but when I open the messaging programme I see a message - unfortunately OMACP has stopped.

This only started this morning. I haven't changed anything on my Galaxy S3

Any thoughts?

Have you tried a soft reset ?

If you mean taking battery and sim out and then putting them back and restarting then yes.

Go to Settings >Application Manager >Scroll right to list "All" apps >scroll down until you find the app "OMACP" >tap to open and then "Clear Data".

Thought it worth asking. Usually this helps with most issues.

Make a back up first though.

Not sure which of the above you are refering to but it's always worth trying a different app as this sometimes resets the rest of the system without the pain of a full reset https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handcent.nextsms&hl=en

It is much better all round.
More options, functions, backgrounds etc - Well worth checking out esp if you are a heavy texter
