I'm just wondering if you are in a bit of a dead spot for location tracking (don't laugh, they do exist), either that or you need to remove your tin foil hat

Hi guys, I've recently noticed that my location for my weather widget and from browser stops updating after about 2 days. And the only to fix it is via a reset...
Now the problem is that everything else reports my location with little problem like maps and Facebook so I'm not sure what the issue could be...

Anyone had this issue?

Hi.

Check in your location settings in the phone to see that they are set to the correct location.

If you can say what phone you have we could help you navigate you there.

And or delete the app and data and re download and when you reopen it , it should ask for permission to use your current location.

Weather widgets use their own servers to get data from which are notoriously troublesome (HTC being the exception).
I tend to use either Android weather or BBC weather widgets off play store.

Ok

Have you tried a soft reset by turning it off and back on.

Another option would be a hard reset but make a back up first.

http://sony-xperia.mobi/eng/sony-xperia-z1-compact/631-sony-xperia-z1-compact-hard-reset-button.html

The native app in my iPhone works just fine and I use MetOffice app too.

Assuming you have set the widget to use your current location and have it on auto update it is just down to the weather server that the app is connecting to, but tbh, I've never had a problem with either of those tracking my location OK......
