Hi

Are you on pay as you go or contract?

What is your monthly allowance?

Do you have access to wifi?

You can check in settings what apps are using your allowances.

Possibly bigger data bolt on would help.

Turn your data off overnight as this is usually the time when apps update and so that would drain your data.

A lot of Android handsets have a built in monthly data counter where a warning & also a limit can be set.

You cannot go over your allowance any more. O2 used to allow you to keep using data at a very slow rate, but they now just cut it off, so there's no chance of you going over your limit.

In Android you can choose to update apps manually or automatically. I always choose manually so I can check permissions. I take exception to apps wanting to "send emails in my name without my knowledge" for example without a full explanation.

Likewise as Damien1 quite right points out you can set your apps and your Android system updates (which I have known to be approaching 250mb plus before) to only update over wifi.
