My phone will not allow me to make calls it states emergency calls only on the main screen how do I get rid of it?

Have you tried cleaning the sim card?

Could there be a problem with your account?

Also try turning the phone off and on and remove the battery to soft reset it.

If that's fails look at settings within your phone for something along the lines of resetting all settings.

Last resort would be a hard reset although ensure you make a back up of your data first as this route typically erases it.

Search Hard Reset for your make of handset.

You dont mention what model of phone your using so this is as specific as i can get.

Remove and clean the sim card should sort it if your account is ok.
