Sony Xperia J help

I got a Sony Xperia J yesterday, (sort of pushed into it by young kid) and the battery life is pants and looking online found that it is not rated that highly either, so disappointed really.

I was looking at a Nokia Lumia or Nexus 4 originally but he said this was crap as there were a lot of software problems??

Anyone got any suggestions of phones with good battery life and good phone to get in your opinion, monthly contract of around £15 as it's really for pics, texting & bit of phone.

Hi,

It does take a few charges and discharges for the battery to calibrate and reach optimum output.

Although it does sound that you have lost faith in the handset.

Think now about returning the phone within any cooling off period. {7 days if from 02}

Most smartphones typically IMO give out on average a days use.

Out of the two I would choose the Nexus 4 but that's just my choice.

Their are comparison sites, review centres and loads of good unboxing and tutorials out there.

Also visiting a shop with working demo models display help.

Don't let anyone push you into any model and tariff choice. They will be on commission and most likely asked by their manager to push certain products and services.

I would return the phone as you are within 7 working days and as advised check out the phones instore. New phones do take a while to get used to. You could have a look what's available in the independent retailers too, you can upgrade or stay on O2 through them.

Pics, texting and phone you say? What about the BlackBerry 9900? Best keyboard on the market, touchscreen and arguably the best actual telephone for making calls.

Available for free from £17 a month...but sadly out of stock online at the moment. Or for the same price a Samsung Galaxy S3 refurb?
