You mention that you'd originally flashed with the original O2 release of JB for the P model, but that's not yet been released, unless all go as of today (which will make many, many people happy). Currently XWLSW is the latest for the standard S2, so if O2 are now pushing this flavour out for the P then hurrah!

Is it like a version change update where you have to recreate your homescreens, repair bluetooth devices etc ir is it mire seamless than that?

Updated to this a couple of days ago OTA, cant see any difference to the version of JB I was already running, apart from the fact I know have massive battery drain overnight. Full charge at say midnight, I go to sleep, wake up at say 7AM, and Im down to 75% battery left. No apps running overnight that I can see, setttings reports as Android OS using some 60% odd of the battery.
Any ideas anyone?

I would flash back to the version of JB I had, but I cant find it anywhere 😞

An undocumented feature of this JB update is that if your phone was previously network locked, it's gonna be network locked again after the update. I ran the OTA update when prompted yesterday and now phone wants the network unlock code again. I still had my old code from last year, but it does not work.

Some research into the matter suggests it now needs a Master Unlock Code. O2 are not being helpful right now, they just told me the manufacturer says it's already unlocked ....

Be careful

Wow, interesting stuff. I've just taken a look at SamMobile too and can see the O2 branded release is available for download (handy for anyone wishing to do it manually).

Personally I'm going to wait. It's good that the release is based on LSS so I could step back from the normal S2 running LSW but I don't want any O2 bloatware. I'm hoping that the vanilla version will be released soon and will try that. If LSS great, LSW or higher then even better. I don't use NFC so quite happy to stick with LSW for the non-P.

Progress though!

Jonty.
