MMS, calls abroad and wifi

I have an issue for quite some time, don't receive multi media messages, have to go to O2 website, I can send but most of times I can't receive them. Also as soon as I am in free wifi spots, I can't use it because my phone just doesn't go (Samsung Galaxy S2). If I'm home, wifi is not a problem, when I'm in public places (stations, cafe's etc) it all the time says network error. Plus when I am abroad I can't make phone calls, also can't make phone calls to couple of numbers abroad ( I know that codes are correct because people can call me and their number show as as it's been saved on my contact list). Any explanation?

For mms text the word active to 2020.
Not all public wifi are available to use. Usually you have to open your brwser and sign in. Some are free but some are chargeable.
For international calls you need to have the service enabled on your account so request it via cs.
