Cheers, ended up restoring factory settings after a lot of faffing around! Have just under 1gb storage now so will keep a beady eye on it and see how we go. Thanks!

i have a htc 8s windows phone. have read previous thread but have problems with data storage. i have an sd card for music and photos with only 3 photos on at moment but phone storage says completely full - 3.61 gb out of 3.61 gb. apparently as 145.39kb as music & videos (which i can only think is ringtone) 0 bytes pictures, 187.75mb as apps and (most confusingly) 1.40gb as other. system says 2.02gb with free space as 736.00 kb.

have deleted pretty much all apps i can (apart from spell it) as can't delete installed apps, deleted old text/email threads, cleared internet history, plugged into laptop and checked folders, nowt there. am at the point where it won't let me watch a video, answer an email, install any updates. not sure whether to restore to factory settings or what!

any advice much appreciated, thanks.

Presuming you have restarted the phone already then a factory reset sounds like the way to go in the first instance.

Let us know how you get on

I have exactly this problem, nothing on my phone, but no memory left. If I restore factory setting will I lose everything on my phone? Contacts apps ring tones and everything else? If so how do I back everything up on my pc? Any help would be very gratefully received.
