Not sure if anyone else has suffered this. I have had my S2 for two months now and just recently it has been playing up regarding emails. I set up originally to my blueyonder account (along with other mobile devices which receive and send fine) i can connect to the internet ok and everything else works ok and my phone has now started to display the message 'connection error' and when trying to reload the incoming settings a message appears 'connection failed'. Every now and then I do receive an email but then not and it will not send any emails.

Stuck in a hole as spoke to the O2 guru and he just said take it to an O2 shop. Any ideas?

thanks for that i have remove the account and re-ented details and it now times me out for taking too ling to register while the green line blinks accross the screen. i do not have the manual option appearing at the bottom only the next button then it goes straight to searching.

what new i have lost my email account.

On the very first screen after entering the user name and password, before moving to any other screen untick push (might have to use back key also to clear keyboard) and manual will appear at the bottom.

Interesting to read about this I am experiencing problems with my emails as well. Basically I am receiving emails, but when I try and send a reply it remains in outbox. Sometimes the email gets to the recipient, despite still showing as in outbox and other times it doesn't. Anyone got any ideas?

Outgoing settings are probably wrong. Check for the correct settings on your email providers website.

Thanks for the reply. I have three email accounts and its affecting all of them so I dont think its the email provider. Its something to do with the phone I think.

Ok the problem started when trying to email photos to facebook account, basically they never got there and remained in the outbox. Now all emails for the three accounts get stuck in the outbox. All are set up using the add account on the phone using the 'set up as premium account' option. My hotmail account was the default option so yesterday I tried deleting the account, hoping this might clear the problem, but no luck. Now, like John I cant re add the hotmail account as the time out message keeps poping up.
