yes just call customer service and they will arrange it for you. I think they will send you a new sim (from memory) and transfer the number again when you get it. Be sure to tell them it's a microsim.

Hi all....

Just decided to buy a new phone I've upgraded from a Blackberry to the S3.

I'm currently on Pay As You Go and with the Blackberry I'd top up £15 a month which I got my free calls & texts to other o2 numbers, I also had a bolt for BBM which gave me 500mb also.

I barely used 10mb a month when looking at websites or using my phone for anything else Internet related.

Now I've upgraded my phone to the S3 from what I gather 3G has to be turned on everytime I would like to use the Internet, so I am actually using the data allowance whereas I wasn't before.

I work nights so from time to time it gets a bit boring so I'd browse websites. Facebook, Twitter, BBC Sport & Hotmail mainly, I usually leave them all logged in an running in the background. But when I did this on the S3 I quickly noticed how I'd used nearly 100mb in 4 hours.

So my question is does 3G have to be on constantly for me to visit sites or is there a way I can have the same situation as I did with the Blackberry ?

If not, I've been looking at getting the Simplicity sim for £25 a month which I would get free texts & UK calls plus 2GB data, would anyone recommend this ?

Thanks

A Blackberry compresses data so you would notice a large increase with the S3. If you have a phone such as the S3 then you need a data plan to use it to it's full potential.

I would go for a Simplicity plan but with your usage I doubt you will need 2GB so maybe go for one with 1GB allowance.

You need to order a microsim if one doesn't come with the phone and O2 will provision the tariff straight onto the microsim for you.
