That Jellybean 4.1.2 has been unofficially released for the Galaxy S2 i9100i (Non-NFC version). It's been a while and I've been out of the mobeus loop of mobile technology for the past month.

Has anybody tried this out?

Note: I refer to the Multi-CSC European Samsung ROM.

I was going to look for a rooted kernel which goes with it and then reinstall flash which I already acquired. After 4.0.4 which was a disaster at least the O2 version, I've been very wary of which ROM's I install.

Funny thing is 4.0.4 on my Galaxy Nexus S was flawless. I can see me going back to a pure Google mobile next time.

Or maybe S3 LTE and change to 4G when it's more wide-spread.

Hi guys, I'm still on GB2.3.6 on my Galaxy Ace 2, but it is rumoured we can get JB very soon (missing out ICS), what are the benefits of JB, anything to shout about?? Thanks.

I installed the leaked Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update last weekend and it's been running on my S2 without a hitch all week. With all of the new bits and pieces it's like getting a whole new phone for free, an S3 in a smaller package

I would suggest that you go ahead and install it as I suspect it will be weeks before we see an official O2 release.

I was never a fan of Touchwiz so if you're into flashing non stock firmware then I'd suggest getting yourself on AOSP 4.1.2 as it's so much nicer to use then the ugly Touchwiz. I helped with testing and also got into briefly compiling a ROM called SlimBean for the developer and that was the nicest I've used. Search for it on Google as it's available across multiple forums but XDA is the one I was involved with.

However before selling my S2 I did download the leak and try it briefly and they've stepped it up with Touchwiz Nature UX. Still AOSP all day long though and once you switch it's hard to switch back. My LG Nexus 4 is a beast and so smooth with the stock Google ROM.
