      <description>&lt;P&gt;I’m a former employee of Capita/O2, and I was given a Boost Box by O2. The issue I’m facing is that my new Pixel phone won’t connect via 3G, and I need to confirm whether my phone is still registered with the Boost Box.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I’ve reached out to Customer Services, but they don’t have any information on the Boost Box and can’t transfer me to the Business Team because I don’t have a business number. When I’ve tried to contact the Business Team directly, they’re unable to validate my identity because they don’t have access to non-business accounts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It feels like there’s no clear way to get in touch with a Boost Box support team, and even if there were, they wouldn’t be able to assist without confirming my identity first—something they can’t do either.&amp;nbsp; HELP.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4257334"&gt;@TonyMR&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is a no longer supported device, and you are going to find anyone who knows anything about them, as they have been stopped for all customers now that WiFi Calling is available and support has been removed for them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can and see if any of the UK based social media CS can help, but dont hold out any hopes..&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think you may have to admit defeat and accept its a dead device&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Even if you got it going I suspect it will be a total dead duck next year as 3G is switched off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not much life left in the old girl&lt;/P&gt;</description>

VoLTE &amp;amp; WiFi-calling both use the newer IMS-core, 3G is a legacy tech.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There may be a user-perception that "having more bars" is better than relying on your WiFi, but the exact same end result is achieved.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Users of older 3G/2G phones would tend not to have access to VoWiFi and thus be better off with a 3G picocell (which is what these boxes are), but that argument is the same as for keeping the 3G network running nationally.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You get my upvote. An hour with consumer services, all of whom asked for identification, but has absolutely no knowledge or even the existence of Boost Box. I did contact the Business Team who were extremely helpful but could not do anything until I was verified by the Consumer team. This was despite the fact that the Business Team verified me by sending a code which I read back and also the letters of my password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Eventually a really helpful person advised me to reset the BoostBos using the button on the back. After an hour or so it all came back.This happened because my landline and internet disappeared for over a week. I assume it lost its addressing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;previously my biggest problem has been adding numbers to the BoostBox&lt;/P&gt;</description>
