      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have smashed my screen. My phone battery died and when turned back on, i am unable to use due to the cracks. however, no mesages are showing up on the locked screen. is this normal?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If so use that. If not you could send it away for repair but probably best to avoid O2 repairers and send it to the manufacturer instead.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes a broken screen will affect the functionality on most phones&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What phone have you got ?       <description>If it's just the screen that's damaged, everything should work fine, but if the digitiser is also damaged, all sorts of problems could occur.</description>
