i havent been able to send any type of mms messages, i have contacted 02 and have all the settings and still no joy.

i have looked through my phone settings and the only thing out of place is my bolt on tarriff. iam on the £15 big bundle and topup monthly, but my tarriff says payment based which i aasume means contract. could this be the problems cause? and if so how do u change that setting?

You need extra credit for MMS messages, they don't come out of bundled texts.

if you get data then it may be worth looking at using a different app to send like whatsapp or messenger - this way you use your included allowance before incurring additional cost...

I forgot to say I can receive mms or should I say I have got one from 02 in a test of settings

receiving is just using that data, and if you have got one then the settings SHOULD be fine - but post them here to check...

apn type needs to be "default,supl,mms" they always get that line wrong......

Yes, you can test by sending to yourself.
Have you got at least 3g signal?
Which phone exactly have you got?

If it is a win8 phone which I am guessing at, change the iptype to just ipv4
