Lumia Camera 5 freezing on Nokia Lumia 1020

I upgraded my Nokia Lumia 1020 to Denim/GDR1 a few months ago. Since then I have regular problems using the Lumia Camera 5 app. I take a picture and it starts to save the file, then the camera app freezes, staying stuck on "saving". It does not save the file and I have to exit the camera app. This will continue to freeze until I reboot the phone.

Sometimes I'll be able to take many photos, sometimes it will freeze on the first photo.

At the moment, my 1020 is useless as a camera because I can't guarantee it will work when I take it out my picked, often missing the "moment" because it doesn't save the file and it takes about 3mins to reboot.

Anyone else had this?

A google search shows this happens frequently after the update. Have a look at this thread from the microsoft community...same issue as yours with a solution
