How do i get rid of a voicemail notification icon showing on my sony ericsson S500i? When I try to retrieve the message i get directed to top up, because my credit was gobbled up with a bundle. I don't need the message anyway as I've now spoken in person to the friend who left it. I want to switch off the notification icon but don't see why I should have to top up to delete a message I don't need.

You have to read the voicemail to clear and delete it.

You can retrieve the message via landline. Whether this will clear the icon or not, I'm not sure but worth a go.

Yea it will be cleared of you call from a landline.
