so i pay £15 a month on my blackberry and reiceve 500 free texts 500mb of internet and bbm. i hardly use my internet and normally use my texts is there a better tarrif i could use for roughly the same amount of money or any bolt ons?

The problem with a BB is that you need to have the BB bolt on. I believe £15 a month is the cheapest you can get on O2 PAYG.
Giffgaff or Tesco (both on O2 network) can do it for less.

what happens if you dont have a bolt on? ive had my blackberry for ages and i seem fine without it but if its better with what would you suggest?

The bolt on gives you access to BBM and other services that require data. You can use the phone for calls and texts ONLY if you don't have the bolt on.
