X6 Firmware

Is there any way to upgrade the firmware of a Nokia X6. Nokia are currently on v40.2 but O2 have only authorised v31.0 - so usability and performance updates are not available to O2 branded X6 customers.

I did try emailing, but the account that I was told to use in a response from O2 that I got last week no longer works.

You can only get what O2 approve if your device is O2 branded.
You could try the Nokia forums for debranding advice.

Hi,

One thing to consider is that any remaining warranty could be voided if you de brand your phone.

if its an x6 their wont be any warrenty as this is a long long discontinued phone and you can not buy an x6 new anywhere within the last 8 years...
