Hi can i go into a o2 store and get a new sim card for my iphone that will keep my existing number and how long will it take to be live.

Hi and welcome to the Community.

Assuming your existing sim is with o2 then yes you can. A sim swap can be done in store and whilst it is normally fairly immediate please be aware it can take up to 24 hours.

If however your current sim is with another network you will need to request a PAC from that Network to keep your number.

If you are still in contract with that Network you may have to pay the remainder of that contract to that Network before they agree to release you.

You would also need to unlink your iPhone from that Network.

Hi @Anonymous and Welcome to the forum.

O2 stores provide free sim adapters too. These can make SIM cards into different sizes etc.

If you have to sim swap then keep turning your airplane mode on and off throughout the sim swap process to help reset the connection to the network.

Good choice of phone.
