I took a contract out on February and was told in the O2 shop international calls where included, when I started getting charged for friends in Southern Ireland I went to the shop and complained they said there was no such contract in 02, the Lady who sold me the contract thought it did exist, but it was phone into from other countries the manger of the shop said, I said I have been mis sold and they paid me back what calls I had used over a 6 weeks period but informed me that's it and no more pay backs, what I would like to know is there a tariff or bolt on that I can get to do me for calling Southern Ireland cheaper than what the cost is now, roll on to the end of my contract as am gone for good from 02.

Hi,

If the contract was Mis-Sild then you did have the option to have it voided.

You could look at using Tugo for Pay Monthly Customers or Wharsapp or Viber that all can run off home wifi too.

If you go into your Myo2 you will see all the bolt on options available to you.

TU-go will not help reduce costs to the republic of ireland same cost as if direct dialed.

1 what are you spending a month at present on calls to Ireland?

2 are the to 1 number landline or mobile or to many numbers?

Do any other networks in the UK offer inclusive calls to Southern Ireland? If not, then your reason to leave is flimsy. The person who sold you the contract made an error. It happens. You were reimbursed for six weeks of calls. What more did you want?

@bob those costs are for an o2-uk customer to make and recieve calls in southern ireland and not calling ireland from the uk

Our Pay Monthly customers will be charged at the following rate for calling this country.

Cost per minute of calling:

Landline	20p
Mobiles	20p
Cost per text message	20p

I doubt there is a contract anywhere that will include calls abroad.

Am paying around £20 to £30 a month on international calls to mobiles

I expected them to honour what was sold to me just not pay back 6 weeks, but hey you live and learn get it in writing before you leave the shop as everyone goes into denial when you go back to shop, some though that's how it worked others didn't know but the manger said it wasn't sold like that, hard to deal with a company like that

so none of the o2 deals will help you much 20p on mobile now or 15p with the calling card a 25% saving but it will still cost you a lot.

I doubt this is about making the calls, more about getting O2 to supply what the OP thinks they were promised, which is a contract with international calls included, which is not a product they sell.

Just found a site dail a code that let's me use their code with 02 and it will cost me 8p per minute to a mobile in Southern Ireland and the also do it with most other networks, so changing in February won't be a big hassle, thanks for all your answers guys it's much appreciated.

Some of these sites use methods not approved by O2 to get around the normal call charges, O2 are aware of these and have been known to cancel the accounts of people using them.

Be careful, O2 have been known to block accounts using some spurious sites.
