Porting from O2 to O2

I have an expired SIM only contract with O2, via my volt package from Virgin.

I can upgrade or leave 02, however the upgrades on offer are poor value.

Via u switch I can get a significantly better SIM only with O2 as a new customer.

So question, any issues with cancelling my current expired O2 contract, getting a PAC.

Signing up with O2 again via u switch and using the PAC to port to my new contract on O2.

You don't need a PAC going O2 to O2

You need to ask customer service to migrate your number from your current contract to your new contract

That will cancel your old contract

Search the forum for lots of recent issues with this process and workarounds to fix it.

Don't cancel you current contract first as your PAC may be required so as not to lose your number.

thanks, although the challenge I can see is that O2, despite the contract being expired, want 30 days notice.

You don't need to give 30 days notice anymore.

OFCOM changed that rule years ago.
