You nneed to ask O2 to migrate your existing number to the new contract which will cancel the original contract

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: Migration & porting into O2" id="Guide061"></LI-PRODUCT>

Customer service have been known to be difficult about doing this with third party deals and you may have to make multiple calls to get someone to do it for you

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: How to find help & contact O2" id="Guide058"></LI-PRODUCT>

Another way is to port out using a PAC to a PAYG sim and then port back in again after 30 days

<LI-PRODUCT title="Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update]" id="Guide002"></LI-PRODUCT>

Hi, I'm on an existing o2 monthly deal which is now out of contract.

I'm looking for a new phone/deal and found one via mobile phones direct which is cheaper than direct. However I want to keep my existing number from the out-of-contract o2 monthly sim. How do I resolve this? I'm assuming PAC code request doesn't apply here as I'm not changing network but what do I do to keep number - it doesn't seem to state this anywhere? Thanks in advance.
