Migrate o2 number to new 3rd party o2 contract

Hi All, need some help please...

I'm being told i'm unable to migrate my existing o2 number to a new o2 contract (that was taken out via a 3rd party - uswitch).

Nothing online says that is legally true or applicable.

Has anyone else had this issue and was there a resolution?

It is still an option, however, many agents are refusing to do it.

Either keep trying or. temporarily port out to another network PAYG and port back in.

If i have to go the long route - do you happen to know which PayG sim/provider is quickest / easiest to do this with?

My advice would be to port out to something like Spusu and pay the £2.90 and then port back in after 30 days or so and then its a clean break from anything o2 / telefonica

Also o2 dont have to allow you to migrate a number, they can do what they want with regards to this..

We've had it confirmed that this is still an option though.

We have indeed, but they just dont seem to want to do it, so if I was anyone thinking about it, I would just leave o2 and move elsewhere...

So I've just ran into this issue myself, they are refusing to transfer the number over from my existing o2 contract to my new affiliate o2 contract because 'policy'.

There's an unused vodafone payg sim here. Am I safe to request PAC for the old number, transfer it to the vodafone, then transfer it back to the new o2? Or am I going to run into more issues?

Both me and my husband took out contracts through mobileshop, we just phoned o2 Cs and they changed the numbers over to our original ones within 5 mins.
