It is possible from any number as long as you set a PIN beforehand and from within the UK.

wrt a tariff change, you can change once a month if on refresh, so no need to carry the change for 12 months (if applicable to your account)

https://www.o2.co.uk/refresh/flexible-tariffs

I’ve read the guide here: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/All-you-need-to-know-about-O2-Voicemail-901/ba-p/547712, but wanted to try and get some clarity on things as it’s not clear to me from that page

i am travelling away to the USA next week. I have o2 travel, but not the inclusive zone which covers more than Europe.

There is some advice to disable voicemail (which I can do by dialling 1760) completely to prevent charges - but if possible I don’t want to completely disable it, I’d still like to get messages if possible due to some ongoing insurance things (as I believe I should still be able to dial into from abroad)

On this page: https://www.o2.co.uk/business/support/international/going-abroad-general, o2 suggest a divert all to voicemail option under the section relating to being charged twice. If I were to do this, my understanding is that all calls would go straight to voicemail - and because of this it would avoid the charge. Is this understanding correct?

On another note, the guide for Voicemail 901 states:

“To obtain the Voicemail roaming number call 1780 free from the mobile (whilst in the UK) and a text with the voicemail roaming number will be sent to your mobile.”

when I dial 1780 within the UK, the number is not recognised

@MI5- I wouldn’t be looking to access the voicemails on a daily basis. Only every few days. There’s a chance there’d be no calls at all, there’s a chance I get a few - and there’s also the chance that of those which do come through, a would be a spam/scam call (who do occasionally leave a message - a lot of the recent ones I’ve received have been automated messages about jobs on TikTok or something), and I’d hate to pay £7 just for that.

The upgrade to a tariff with inclusive travel would cost £34 a month for a year - which is £22 more a month than my current sim (so £154 extra for the year, plus whatever increase they add in for April)

Would I not able to access my voicemail from an another number by dialling it, pressing * and then entering my pin? And is that possible from an international number? I have an eSIM which will let me do a limited number of outgoing calls including the UK
