I have been sent a letter from O2 claiming I owe them £44 from three years ago and that this debt has now been sold to a debt collection agency, Lowell. This is the first I have heard of this debt, it doesn't appear anywhere in my account and I've never received any communications about it. Although this letter has my correct name and address, the account number and mobile number on the letter are not the same as mine. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I've sent an email to the O2 complaints service but I have doubts it will be resolved easily and I fear this will be effecting my credit score.
