    <description>&lt;P&gt;There is no need at all to give 30 days notice to cancel accounts so I'm not sure why they insist on telling customers that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best option is to cancel the new contract as you say&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I am a current O2 customer, I just ordered a new SIM only deal while logged into my account. However, upon checkout I had to be given a new number and I will receive a new SIM via the post. I'm a bit confused as previous times I have ordered a SIM only deal my number stayed the same with no need for any new SIM card. Have I done this incorrectly? Or when I receive the SIM will I just activate it via the O2 app and it will merge into my old number with the new deal? Just concerned about being charged twice! Thanks for any help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks! I have just contacted O2 via social media and it seems I would have to cancel my old account,giving 30 days notice, as well as paying for the new SIM in that time. I was only going to be saving a small amount so will just cancel my new SIM when it arrives.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
