so it’s 21:07 uk time and it says your lines are closed and to ring back between your business hours which are 7am-22:00 !!!!!

please explain why you are closed

The are closed... and they don't need to explain anything I am sorry to say, as it sounds like just an errornous IVR Message (trust me I have seen this a lot with Call Centres).

2 years later - they open at 8 but are still telling me they are closed au 08:20 Monday morning

It's called Customer Deflection. Make calling hard enough and they may go away
