Roaming in Italy

Can I use my o2 data in Italy as roaming. I am a monthly customer and have 50gb data and unlimited calls and texts tariff. O2 says only 25gb data can be used abroad. Does it work for me? And do I have to do anything to o2 or just go and use roaming? I mean inform o2 that I am going away? Please advise me? Thank you.

25GB per billing cycle for 2 billing cycles (63 days) is your Europe Roaming allowance, @TA41.

Enable roaming and data roaming on your handset - our usual tips here for those having difficulties when they land:

Manually search for another network

Try one of the networks that show as "Forbidden"

Make sure Roaming and Data Roaming are enabled in your phone settings
Reboot the phone
Turn off 5g in network settings and manually search for a network
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
