O2 refresh upgrade with ongoing device plan

Hi o2 have offered me an option to upgrade by either paying my current device plan in full or upgrading and continuing to pay my old device along side my new one for the last remaining months. If I chose to upgrade to a new phone and pay my old device plan monthly as normal for the last bit can I still give my old device to a friend or is it ungiftable/ sellable till it’s fully payed off. Other wise I’d be paying for it to be sat in a box and my friend needs a phone id like to gift it them.

"can I still give my old device to a friend" makes perfect sense to me, @Mrb00m_uk - so long as you maintain payments until device is paid off, it can be used however you wish.

Great thanks, only 7 payments left but was unsure if it was tried to my contract.
