Cancel Contract Online

How do I cancel my contract online.

Spend about an hour going round and round in circles, unable to find how to cancel a contract online.

Ofcom regulations were brought in to make it easier for customers to cancel contracts but clearly this is not being adhered to by o2

You can do it 1 of 3 ways @DavidWilliams

Get a PAC from o2, and move your number to a PAYG sim from another network. Then throw it in the bin.
Get a STAC from o2, and use that with a sim from another network.
Write to o2 to tell them you want to cancel. An outline letter is in this guide (which is linked from the guide above - https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774#M56526 )

I have read the guide, numerous times. It is a guide if you are switching networks. I am not switching networks.

I am an o2 customer, I want to cancel my o2 contract and I should be able to do that easily with o2, I shouldn’t have to interact with another company to cancel a contract that is not with them

They did that by introducing PAC and STAC codes

I've used both in the past and, believe me, it is the easiest way to do things.

Seems to work as OFCOM intended.

YOU will need to call o2 on 0344 809 0202 or 202 from your o2 phone or Write to them, there are no other methods to cancel your account.. NADA, NONE, ZILCH..

Again, I want to cancel my contract, I am not switching to another provider, I am not looking to change provider and keep my number.

PAC and STAC requires having another provider to give them the PAC or STAC number

As an o2 customer, I should be able to go to my account and cancel it with a click of a button.

The whole Ofcom regulation was intended to make it easier for customers to cancel their contracts, they have not done that and after the time i have wasted i will be contacting Ofcom to report o2 for breaching this, it’s an absolute joke

And by the way OFCOM dont deal with consumer complaints so will tell you to jog along...
