A few questions related to keeping number

Hi there,

Few days ago I switched from PAYG to a monthly contract and ideally would like to keep my number.

1. When calling it says something along the lines of 'key in the number you wish to discuss'. Would this be my new number I don't want, or the old number I want to keep?

2. I intend to choose the 3 months of Disney as my extra, when choosing it says it will send a message to my new number (I haven't touched the new sim yet). Should I put my new sim in for this, or when I switch my number it will then send the message to that one? I didn't want to swap numbers and then somehow be locked out of my extra, if that's possible.

3. Is it an easy process by calling? Because I have a branch very close by, so was wondering if it would be less hassle popping in and doing it, as the site states it can be done in store.
