I've been approached by Plan.com asking if I want to change my tariff and offering me a cheaper deal. Is this how O2 operates these days, have they outsourced billing and tariffs to Plan.com - I am a bit nervous about giving them my bank details.

They offer business contracts which are not what you want at all. IN fact the advice on here is to avoid any cold callers offering you a 'great deal'.

I got a call today from them too. I was quite tempted by the deal but when they asked me to set up a new direct debit I pulled out then came here to check it out. I see the advice is not to go with them - but they were offereing 5 times the data allowance for the same price as I currently pay.

There are some good deals on comparison websites for O2 these days.

You can always migrate your number across.

Remember, a long term deal is not necessary cheap in the longrun. Get a 24 month deal now and you will have 2 price rises. This April alone could well hit 15%, and with inflation what it is you could get similar the year after

Hi, I've just signed up to a Plan.com O2 contract - they told me they were an O2 partner and I needed to sign up as my contract was ending next week and I wouldn't have access to my phone. I've just checked my 02 account it doesn't expire until 13 October 23 - I think I've been lied to and reading these comments I'm not sure what to do. I want to stay with 02. Can anyone advise? Thanks

They can help protect your account and stop transactions.
Change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.
Forward fraudulent texts to O2 for free on 7726.
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract using your details.
Virgin Media customers can phone 150 from their landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.
O2 customers can call 202 from their O2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.

You can block the number that called you, or any number you think may be suspicious.

How to block a number:

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062352/

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201229

There are also these links to look at:

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/phishing-and-smishing-advice
https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/unwanted-calls-and-messages
https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
