Hey!..
I'm being charged for sending text messages to a mobile in Jersey(Channel Islands) Is this normal? I have never been charged for that by my previous network provider and not for multimedia messages either.
I added a bolt on for the multimedia messages because of the charges. Is the bolt on a one off payment like it says it is or do you end up getting charged monthly for it?
( I have tried to call customer services but no one was there)
Any help would be great - until I can get to talk to them!

Yes that's correct,( if it is a Jersey Telecom or Sure or Airtel-Vodafone), Jersey is not part of the United Kingdom and as such international charges apply:

For MMS you get 50 MMS per month for £5.11

@Louise08 If yourself and the person you're texting in Jersey both download WhatsApp, the cost to text (including MMS), call, or video call is zero. That goes for anyone else you know who lives abroad as well.

For sure, you can roam there free of charge, just the same as you can in France, Germany, Spain etc, but you can't texts those countries for free from the UK either.
