Switching Sim only sim from android to iPhone.

If I have a sim only contract with an android phone, will I be able to buy a new iPhone and just move the sim over if the sim is the correct size?

Any help is appreciated.

If you have a 5g phone and you are in a 5G area you may want to do a sim swap with the new sim. (from the old one)

I believe the sim I currently have is 5G as is the phone would you still recommend a sim swap?

Not at all @recode27 . No point if the sim is already 5G. Just pop it into the phone and you will be good to go.
